Borneo Medical Centre (Miri) has a total of 4 well equipped operating theatres which are available at all times for scheduled and emergency operations. Our dedicated and professional team of surgeons and nurses provide a wide skill-set for different surgical cases. The endoscopy unit is primarily managed by our resident surgeon, though various other procedures by other specialists are also performed here. Endoscopy is the insertion of a long, thin tube directly into the body to observe an internal organ or tissue in detail. It can also be used to carry out other tasks including imaging and minor surgery. Endoscopes are minimally invasive and can be inserted directly into the the body or organ. It can be used for investigative procedure for the gastrointestinal tract, rectum, and respiratory tract (nose and ear and throat). The endoscopy unit is primarily managed by our resident surgeon, through various other procedures by other specialists are also performed here.
