Dietetics Department in Borneo Medical Centre (Miri) is able to provide one to one as well as group counselling for both in and out patients who require special diets for their medical treatment. Therapeutic diets and nutritional care are planned, evaluated and administered by our dietitian as prescribed by the attending Physician and Specialists.
Services offer include:
- Diet counselling for individuals at risk of malnutrition (stroke, cancer, LOA, post-operative, failure to thrive, GI disturbance) or overnutrition (overweight, obesity, childhood obesity)
- Diet therapies for diet-related medical conditions (diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipidemia, coronary heart disease, kidney disease, anaemia, gout, GDM)
- Nutritional support for patients requiring enteral nutrition
- Public health talk
